You’ll have time to marvel at the majestic views from God's Window and wonder aloud in awe at how the erosive power of water has shaped the landscape at Bourke’s Luck Potholes. This day guarantees to be a photographer’s ‘dream-come-true’ as the world’s third largest canyon, the Blyde River Canyon, flaunts her sheer cliffs, rare birds, countless waterfalls, rain forest, flower and fauna. Bargain with natives for a fair deal on handcrafted artifacts at roadside stalls.
The most spectacular stop will be at the Three Rondawels viewpoint.
ACCOMMODATION: Camping at the private lodge
INCLUDED MEALS: Dinner
DAY 2: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK (SOUTH AFRICA)
Kruger National Park is home to 147 mammals including the Big Five, 114 reptiles and 502 bird species. Kruger National Park territory covers an expansive area of land. It is equal in size to Israel, Wales or the Netherlands and, therefore, encompasses different vegetation types and climatic changes that attract varied species indigenous to the different areas of the park. Therefore, tour game drives will cover as much territory as possible affording every opportunity of sighting different animal and bird species.
A short early morning drive from the Blyde River lodging begins at Kruger’s most central gate, Orpen Gate, where this, the second day of your tour begins. Orpen Gate opens at 05:30 A.M. Here you will be transferred to open-sided 4x4 game safari viewing vehicles for the first of two bush tours. This day’s game drive concentrates on the central region of the park where the big cats and larger mammals frequent at water holes and rest areas. The guides will also stop touring vehicles at various view-points and ‘hides’ established for perfect photo opportunities and closer proximity to wildlife.
Breakfast and lunch will be prepared one of the many picnic sites within Kruger National Park by your guides. Here you will be able to relax and refresh before a scheduled three-hour night drive commencing at sunset. The mysteries and beauty of Kruger’s nocturnal animals will be discovered under floodlights you’ll use to reveal hidden habitats.
Your guides will provide a wealth of information enhancing your first, nighttime, wild kingdom adventure. Prepare yourself for the magnificence of the starlit South African sky. Locate the Southern Cross. Take in the crystalline brilliance of the myriad of stars of the Milky Way; this is the perfect end you will never forget!

Breakfast and lunch will be enjoyed at picnic sites inside Kruger national park.
ACCOMMODATION:(Camping): Camping inside Kruger national park
INCLUDED MEALS: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 4: RETURN TO JOHANNESBURG & PRETORIA (SOUTH aFRICA)
This is our final morning in Kruger national park. This morning you have the opportunity of doing an optional game walk inside Kruger national park with two Kruger park armed guides. A game walks is not about seeing the animals, as you are guaranteed to see much more animals and much closer on a game drive than on a game walk. Game walks are about the smaller things normally not seen from the vehicles.
The clients who are not doing a game walk, will head out on a final short game drive (done in a closed vehicle), searching for the animals not yet seen or photographed.
We then head for a private lodge just outside Kruger national park, where we will enjoy a home cooked breakfast. From here we drive to Johannesburg, Pretoria and Nelspruit where the guide / driver will drop you at any backpackers hostel, hotel, guest house or the airport in Johannesburg.

|
After lunch, we transfer you into open safari vehicles to one of our bush camps in the Greater Kruger National Park, making sure that you spend the maximum time out in the bush!
In the mornings we set off at first light after a snack breakfast of rusks and coffee or tea. Enjoying the cool morning air we may walk directly from camp or else use a vehicle to get further out. Your ranger will decipher the tracks and signs left by the passing animals during the night. The thrill of walking, tracking and getting up close to one of the creatures of the bush is an unforgettable experience. On the walks there is a lot of emphasis on all the interesting things seen such as trees, plants, insects and birds.
A big breakfast is prepared back in camp and then there is time to unwind and siesta during the heat of the day.
After lunch is served it is time to head out again. The afternoon activity is a walk/ drive combination, looking for tracks and activity in other areas.
After the walk we drive to a beautiful spot in the Reserve, where we’ll have sundowners while waiting for a stunning African Sunset. As the diurnal animals and birds anxiously get ready for bed, the stage and sounds change and a whole new world awaken. This is when we connect the spotlight and night drive back to camp, looking for the nocturnal creatures that are so rarely seen during the day.
Back in camp a hearty supper and a warm campfire will be waiting for you. After a long day in the bush there is nothing more rewarding then to sneak off to bed and listen to the sounds of the night under a blanket of the overwhelming African stars! |
|
|
On the last day you will still go out for one last walk. Sniffing the typical scents of the bush you’ll realise how much you’ve learned already!
After breakfast it’s time to pack up and go back to the bush pub, where you will pay the Conservation Fee and the drinks you’ve consumed in our camps. Then we reluctantly say our goodbyes and transfer you back to the city. Self-drives can leave their car safely at the meeting point during the safari and be on their way again from here.
